Political
Action Report - Keeping our union members informed
On a state level, a letter has been sent to all New Jersey members
of the state legislature reminding them of the number one issue
effecting your ability to go to work - undocumented workers and
the contractors who hire them. We have advised the Senators and
Assembly members that until they commit to us a solution to this
problem, labor walks, phone banks, and financial support will be
on hold. Without man hours the PAC Fund money will not be there.
Your leadership recognizes this money is generated by your hard
work and we will hold all elected officials accountable to that
fact.
On a national level, the Democratic primary is settled. It appears
Senator Obama will face Republican John McCain for the next President
of the United States. We will be forwarding information on both
candidates. Please become informed, make sure you are registered
and then, come November, get out and vote! "The pen is mightier
then the sword"! |
